CCJ 30-day Satisfaction Window

How this is calculated
The Register of Judgments, Orders and Fines is run by Registry Trust on behalf of the Ministry of Justice. CCJs go on the Register for 6 years, but:
- If you pay in full within 30 days of the judgment date, you can apply to have the CCJ removed from the Register entirely (form N443, £15 fee).
- If you pay in full after 30 days, the CCJ is marked "satisfied" but stays on the Register for the rest of the 6 years.
A CCJ on the Register can affect credit applications. Removal within the 30-day window is therefore valuable.
